Which Mary Kay Compact Do I Have? Models and Refill Fit Checks

Empty black Mary Kay Compact Mini 040752 with its tray raised to show lower storage, beside the original box

If you're trying to replace a Mary Kay compact or find refills for one you already own, start with the model number and the inside layout. The brand name and case color alone won't tell you whether a refill fits.

I'm Chad, the owner of More4less Outlet in Burlington, Kentucky. The compacts in my shop include several different designs, so I've pulled together the identifying details below to help you compare them. Every compact linked in this guide is sold empty, with makeup and applicators purchased separately.

How do I identify my Mary Kay compact?

Check the original box for the compact name and product code, and look for any identifying marks on the case. Keep the leading zeros: 040752 and 017362 are useful search terms exactly as printed.

Next, open the compact and compare the layout. Look at the refill area, the shape of each recess, any lift-up tray, and the spaces for tools. A silver case with molded refill compartments is a different design from a black case with a flat magnetic well.

Take a photo of the open case and another of its label before you start shopping. If you still have a matching refill, save its product name and code too. That gives you a much better reference than a photo of the closed lid.

Which Mary Kay compact model matches mine?

Compact Mini 040752

The black Compact Mini 040752 has a mirror, a magnetic refill tray, and a separate storage compartment underneath. The tray lifts to reveal that lower space. Look for this two-level interior when comparing it with your own compact.

Rose Gold Compact Mini 091463

The rose-gold Compact Mini 091463 also has a black interior, a mirror, and a lift-up section with storage below. Its rose-gold-tone exterior distinguishes it from the black Mini. Match the model code and refill details before buying; a similar layout alone doesn't confirm every refill pairing.

Mary Kay Compact 017362

The black Compact 017362 is rectangular, with a magnetic square refill area and separate accessory spaces alongside it. Its open interior looks different from the Mini's stacked arrangement. The product listing includes the empty case; the spaces for a lip product and tools do not mean those items come with it.

MK Signature Custom Compact 9004

The silver-gray MK Signature Custom Compact 9004 has shaped, fitted refill recesses: three smaller rounded recesses above a longer refill space, plus accessory spaces. The original box identifies the MK Signature range, and the compact uses a snap-in refill system. Check the refill series as well as its shape.

Foundation Compact 869100

The Foundation Compact 869100 has a silver-toned case, a D-shaped refill area, and a separate round sponge compartment with ventilation holes. It uses compatible snap-in foundation trays. That D-shaped well is a useful identifying feature when comparing it with magnetic compact styles.

Are Mary Kay compact refills interchangeable?

Don't assume that every Mary Kay refill fits every Mary Kay compact. The models above include magnetic wells and fitted snap-in compartments, and each needs the appropriate refill shape and attachment.

Mary Kay's original Compact Mini product information describes mineral eye and cheek colors, Sheer Mineral Pressed Powder, mineral bronzing and highlighting powders, and creme-to-powder foundations as refill options. That helps identify the intended refill families, but this older regional information doesn't verify every later product or every older case.

For an older MK Signature or D-shaped foundation compact, confirm the exact refill and case combination. A familiar shade name or the word "foundation" on both listings isn't enough. This guide identifies the cases; it doesn't promise that a current refill will fit a retired compact.

What should I check before ordering a compact or refill?

  1. Match the model and range. Write down the compact code and the refill's full product name, including words such as MK Signature or Compact Mini.
  2. Compare the actual refill shape. Look at the pan or tray that sits inside the case, including any plastic carrier, rather than measuring the outer retail package.
  3. Check measurements and attachment. Compare length, width, depth, and how the refill attaches to the case. If dimensions aren't provided, ask for them before ordering.
  4. Read the included-items and condition details. An empty case, a single refill, and a filled makeup palette are different purchases. Check whether the original box or any tools are included.

Keep a photo of the listing and the selected model with your order information. When your item arrives, follow the instructions supplied with that exact compact. If the refill doesn't sit correctly, stop rather than forcing it into place.

Where can I find a replacement Mary Kay compact?

The linked product pages show the specific models at More4less Outlet, including their product photos and current availability. You can also browse Makeup and Cosmetics for other cases, tools, and makeup. Stock changes, so check the individual listing before ordering.

If you're unsure which case matches yours, contact me with the compact code and clear photos of the open interior and refill label. Those details make it much easier to compare your item with what's listed in the shop.

More4less Outlet is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with Mary Kay. Mary Kay names are used to identify the products.
