A custom-fit cushion against nighttime grinding

The DenTek Professional-Fit Dental Guard uses a soft, moldable upper layer and a firmer protective base to cushion your teeth and reduce grinding wear. It fits over the upper teeth only and is intended for adults 18 and older who grind their teeth at night. One guard, a disposable fitting tray and an antimicrobial storage case are included.

Condition: new and unused. Some units may ship safely padded without the original cardboard retail box. The photographed carton identifies the product; a retail carton is not guaranteed with your order.

This is a nighttime grinding guard, not an orthodontic retainer or sports mouthguard. It is not for use with braces, dentures, implants or other dental appliances.

Fitting, cleaning and replacement

Read the included DenTek instructions before heating the guard. Practice centering it in the fitting tray under your upper front teeth using a mirror, then follow that insert's heating, cooling and shaping steps. Heating times are specific to the instructions supplied with your guard.

After each use, brush with toothpaste and/or mouthwash and rinse thoroughly with cool tap water. Do not clean it with hot water, which can change its shape. Check for wear monthly; replacement timing depends on the frequency and force of grinding. Consult your dentist before continuing use beyond three months.

Important use warnings

Do not use if you are under 18, have loose teeth, dental implants, dentures, braces or other dental appliances, tooth or jaw pain, or diagnosed TMJ pain or jaw clicking. It is not designed to absorb sports impacts.

Ask a dentist first if you have major health problems, serious breathing conditions, oral sores, bleeding gums, gum disease, untreated cavities, loose fillings or caps, missing teeth, or difficulty or pain when chewing.

Stop use and ask a dentist if it causes mouth soreness, bleeding or another reaction; tooth, jaw or ear pain; headaches, neck stiffness or joint clicking; choking, gagging or breathing difficulty; discomfort or a guard that falls out easily; or a bite change lasting more than a few minutes after removal. Also consult a dentist if the same symptoms continue for over a month. See your dentist every six months and follow all package warnings.
