Play Space and Timer Setup

Set up only in safe indoor areas. Do not block a real exit, lock anyone in a room, or place clues where players must run, climb, or enter unsafe spaces. Choose 10 play areas; these can be separate rooms or sections of a room. An adult should open the timer battery cover with a screwdriver, insert two 1.5V AG13 (LR44) cells with the indicated polarity and secure the cover. Keep the timer dry and switch it off after use.

Button-Battery Safety

Keep new and used button batteries away from children. Swallowing a cell can cause severe internal burns in as little as two hours. Seek emergency medical care immediately if a battery may have been swallowed or inserted into the body. Do not use the timer if its battery compartment cannot be securely closed. Adults must replace the batteries; do not mix old/new cells or different battery types.
