Melnor XT HydroLogic 73015 1-Zone Digital Water Timer

Give your garden a regular watering routine

Set a watering routine for one garden-hose line without an app or Wi-Fi. The Melnor 73015 uses an LCD screen and buttons to choose watering days and up to four start times per day. Rain delay lets you temporarily pause the schedule, and manual watering lets you use the hose between programmed cycles.

What you receive

• One model 73015 digital one-zone timer with the printed instructions in its original retail package.
• One top faucet connection and one bottom hose outlet.
• Requires two AA alkaline batteries, not included. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• The optional HydroLogic soil-moisture sensor is sold separately. A hose, sprinkler and additional timer are not included.
• New in the original retail package.

Fit and programming

• Connection: Standard U.S. 3/4-inch garden-hose thread (GHT). This is a hose-faucet timer, not a built-in wall controller or an NPT pipe fitting.
• Watering schedule: Select individual weekdays or intervals of 1–7 days, with up to four independent start times.
• Cycle duration: Each watering cycle can run for up to 360 minutes (6 hours). A cycle must end before the next programmed start time.
• Rain delay: Temporarily suspend watering for up to seven days, then resume the saved program.
• Manual control: Run a timed watering session without creating a new automatic schedule.
• Optional sensor: Compatible HydroLogic soil-moisture sensing can suspend watering when the soil is already wet; the sensor is not included.

Setup, limits and seasonal care

Install two fresh AA alkaline batteries, connect the timer to the outdoor faucet, and set the clock and watering program. The faucet supply must remain on for automatic watering to work. Follow the manufacturer’s model 73015 instructions.

Outdoor agricultural or horticultural use only. This is not a toy. Use cold water; never use water hotter than 115°F (46°C). Do not operate below an ambient air temperature of 40°F (4.5°C). Keep spray away from outlets and other electrical sources.

Before freezing weather or storage, turn off the faucet, remove and drain the timer, remove the batteries, and store it indoors in a dry, frost-protected location. Periodically check and clean the inlet filter washer.

Common questions

Does it control more than one hose zone? No. This is the one-zone model with a single outlet.

Does it connect wirelessly? No. Programming is performed on the timer itself; no wireless connection, app or hub is required.

Are watering schedules lost during battery replacement? Removing the batteries does not erase existing watering schedules. Check the clock and program after replacing them.
