The standard unflavored formula is an osmotic laxative for occasional constipation and generally produces a bowel movement in one to three days.

Directions

Adults and children 17 years and older: use one 17 g dose once daily. Measure with the bottle cap's marked white section, dissolve completely in 4–8 fl oz of a beverage, then drink. Do not drink a mixture containing undissolved clumps. Children age 16 or younger should be given this product only on a doctor's advice.

Do not combine with starch-based thickeners used for swallowing difficulties. Do not exceed the directed amount or use longer than seven days unless a doctor directs otherwise. The bundle's 21 total doses are not instructions for 21 consecutive days of self-treatment.

Warnings

Do not use if allergic to polyethylene glycol. People with kidney disease need a doctor's advice and supervision before using it.

Ask a doctor before use for nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome or a sudden bowel-habit change lasting more than two weeks. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if taking a prescription medicine.

Loose, watery or more frequent stools can occur. Stop use and ask a doctor for rectal bleeding, worsening nausea, bloating, cramps or abdominal pain, diarrhea, or a need for a laxative lasting beyond one week. These symptoms should not be dismissed because the product is described as gentle.

If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of children's reach. Get medical help or contact Poison Control promptly after an overdose.
