Ring Battery Doorbell Head-to-Toe HD Video 2024 Satin Nickel

I like the square Head-to-Toe view on this 2024 Ring Battery Doorbell for checking the doorway and the area below it. Its built-in rechargeable battery means existing doorbell wiring is not required. This is the Satin Nickel 1440 x 1440 model, not the newer 2K version.

Installation and charging

Follow the supplied Ring installation guide and app setup prompts for this exact model. Remove the doorbell from its bracket with the supplied removal tool to access charging; the whole unit is charged rather than a separate battery pack. Optional hardwiring is for compatible 8–24 VAC, 50/60 Hz doorbell systems, 40 VA maximum, to trickle-charge the battery. Do not use a DC, halogen-lighting or garden-lighting transformer. For any wiring work, switch off power first and use a qualified electrician if compatibility or installation is uncertain. Hardwiring does not guarantee that separate recharging will never be needed.

Two questions before choosing

What works without a paid subscription?
Live View, Two-Way Talk and standard real-time notifications work without a subscription. Saving and reviewing recorded video and Person/Package Alerts require a compatible paid plan; no subscription or trial eligibility is guaranteed with this offer.

Will it work with my phone and existing setup?
Check the current Ring app requirements, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage and any existing chime or transformer against Ring's exact-model compatibility guidance before ordering. A compatible setup and account are required; universal compatibility is not promised.

My setup tip

I would test the Wi-Fi signal at the intended mounting spot before drilling, rather than rely on how strong it is elsewhere in the house.
