Targus DEFCON Universal Resettable Laptop Cable Lock – 6.5 ft

Add a physical security tether to your laptop setup

Help deter a quick grab-and-go theft when working at a shared desk, office or study space. The Targus DEFCON Universal Resettable Combo Lock connects a compatible device security slot to a suitable fixed anchor with a steel cable, while a user-set combination means you do not need to carry a separate key.

Check your device before ordering

The universal design supports major laptop security-slot formats, including Kensington K-Slot, Kensington Nano and Noble Wedge. “Universal” does not mean every laptop has a compatible lock slot. Check your device’s security-slot specification and follow the supplied Targus instructions for fitting the lock. A USB or charging port is not a security slot.

Practical features

• Resettable four-digit combination: choose your code and keep a secure record of it.
• Rotating head: the package specifies 360-degree rotation to help position the cable.
• 6.5-foot / 2-meter cable: galvanized steel provides reach between a compatible device and an appropriate anchor point.
• Adaptable lock design: supports the listed slot types without a collection of loose interchangeable tips.
• Quantity: one cable-lock assembly. Laptop, desk, separate mounting plates and other display props are not included.

Use it as part of your security routine

Follow the included setup and combination-reset instructions before use. Confirm the lock is properly seated and that the anchor cannot simply be lifted or slipped free. A cable lock is a theft deterrent, not a guarantee against theft or cutting; continue to take normal precautions with your device and data.
