Full product description

HEXBUG Fire Ant Remote-Control Robotic Creature

The HEXBUG Fire Ant moves on six powered wheels and is controlled with an included infrared remote. Choose the available color using the variant selector. One Fire Ant and its remote are included with each selection.

Age and safety

Recommended for ages 8 and older. Choking hazard: small parts; not for children under 3 years. The under-three warning does not replace the manufacturer's recommended age of eight.

Contains button-cell batteries. Keep new and used batteries away from children. A swallowed battery or a battery inserted into the body can cause severe injury. Seek immediate emergency medical care if this is suspected.

An adult must replace batteries. Follow the polarity markings and supplied instructions, secure the battery compartments, and promptly remove and safely dispose of used batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Do not recharge nonrechargeable cells, short-circuit, heat, dismantle or put batteries in a fire.

What you receive

One HEXBUG Fire Ant in the selected color
One infrared remote control
Five AG13/LR44 button cells: three in the toy and two in the remote, as specified by the manufacturer
The photographed hexagonal display packaging

The manufacturer describes the translucent body, lights and six-wheel movement. Its instruction sheet specifies five batteries in total; this takes precedence over the inconsistent four-battery field on its web page.

Getting started and using two Fire Ants

Press the power button on the Fire Ant, then press a forward or backward button on its remote. The Fire Ant enters sleep mode after five minutes without use.

To play with two Fire Ants at once, set their remotes to different channels. Start the first as described above. Start the second while keeping it out of the first remote's line of sight. If one remote controls both Fire Ants, switch one Fire Ant off and repeat the setup.

Leave a Tip at Checkout

If this listing helped you find what you were looking for — or you just want to show some love to a tiny one-person business — there is an optional tip field at checkout. It is never expected, always appreciated, and goes directly toward keeping the lights on and the shelves stocked. Thank you either way.
